What is a Saint?
A Saint is one who is in glory with God in heaven. They are "holy ones" of God who live in union with God through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit and whom God rewards with eternal life in heaven. There are two main types of Saints: Canonized and Patron.
Canonized SaintsCanonization refers to a declaration made by the Pope that a person who either died a martyr or who lived an exemplary Christian life is in Heaven and may be honored and imitated by all Christians. The canonization process involves an investigation of the person's life and certification of miracles attributed to the candidate's intercession.

Patron SaintA patron is a saint who is specifically designated for a certain place or organization. Many saints have also become patrons of various jobs, professional groups, and intercessors for special needs.

Non-Canonized Saints
These Saints are extremely special and vary from each person. These are the extraordinary people in our lives who have passed on, yet remain alive in our hearts. We believe that these people have moved on to heaven and honor them as role models who lived memorable lives.
