Who are the 12 Apostles?

The Twelve Apostles are twelve average, unexceptional men who were chosen by Jesus to become one of his earliest followers and closest disciples. These twelve men followed Jesus throughout his life and (because of their strengths and shortcomings) caused some of the most important events in Jesus' life. Their main mission was to spread the Word of God and preach the Good News.
