Jesus is both Man and God.
In the eyes of the Church, to be human is to have a human body and immortal soul. Throughout his life, Jesus demonstrated that he had a human body, human soul, human knowledge, and human free will.

- Human Body: Jesus experienced hunger in the desert, thirst on the cross, and fatigue at a well after his long journey.
- Human Soul: Two powers of the human soul that Jesus possess were intellect and free will.
- Human Knowledge: Jesus did not know everything. In one instance, he did not know who touched his robe in a crowd and another time he admitted that he does not know when the world would end.
- Human Free Will: Jesus experienced temptation by the devil and chose to overcome it. He also suffered peer pressure when questioned about associating himself with the tax collectors.
Human Emotions
One of the most important human traits that Jesus possessed was human emotions. Just like any other human, Jesus was happy, angry, and sad.

- Happiness: Jesus was very happy and joyous at the wedding of Cana.
- Anger: Jesus was enraged at the unacceptable activity going on in the temple and started flipping tables.
- Sorrow: Jesus was extremely sorrowful before his death on the cross.
- Grief: Jesus grieved and mourned when his good friend Lazarus passed away.
- Compassion: Jesus had a need from company. At one of his moments of prayer, he asked his disciples to stay and pray with him.
